We're excited to announce a new round of DHPSNY's Mentorship Program! The current application is for cohorts that will meet from September 2021 through February 2022. Applications for this round must be received by August 13, 2021.
The DHPSNY Mentorship Program is designed to create a community that supports those who care for the unique library research materials and archival collections in the state of New York. Unlike the traditional one-on-one mentorship model, our program establishes mentorship circles, allowing individuals to serve as both a mentor and a mentee, and welcomes those seeking to engage in both roles.

In light of the COVID-19 pandemic, the 2021 mentorship program will be exclusively virtual. These cohorts are open to individuals at all points in their career, including students, new and emerging professionals, established practitioners, and volunteers. Participants will be matched with a cohort of about 5-8 participants, based on interests as well as individual availability. Topics of discussion could include leadership, professional development, outreach, advocacy, collections care, and more.
Please note there are limited spaces in the program and efforts will be made to ensure that individuals are matched to groups that best suit their needs. If you are not placed in a mentorship circle in this cycle, you will be given preference in the next cycle in Spring 2022.
