Join DHPSNY at SAA's Annual Meeting

The annual meeting of the Society of American Archivists is coming up later this month, and DHPSNY staff will be in attendance! This year's meeting takes place July 23-29 in Portland, Oregon, at the Portland Convention Center. As always, the conference will feature a variety of informative education sessions, workshops, special events, exhibits, and tours of local repositories. Click here for a complete schedule of events.

On Friday, July 28, DHPSNY Program Coordinator Anastasia Matijkiw, along with CCAHA Preservation Specialist Samantha Forsko, will present a special pop-up workshop session entitled Forget the Best: Good and Better Approaches to Preservation. This session will highlight pragmatic choices institutions can make, forgoing the “best” in favor of “good” and “better” practices. The workshop will demonstrate how to make preservation a component of any archives program, even one with little to no resources. Click here to learn more.
