DHPSNY is excited to announce the first in our series of instructional webinars. Join us Thursday, September 15, at 2 PM for Introducing DHPSNY, an overview of the Documentary Heritage and Preservation Services for New York initiative.
This session will be led by DHPSNY’s Program Coordinator, Anastasia Matijkiw, who will explore the planning and assessment services and education programs that DHPSNY will provide New York institutions over the next five years. Attendees will get a tour of the new DHPSNY website, including instructions on how to download application materials, as well as information on upcoming deadlines and eligibility requirements.
Future installments of DHPSNY’s webinar series will cover topics such as digitization best practices and techniques and funding for collections care. Check back for more information later this month.
Presented free of charge, DHPSNY’s education programs are geared specifically toward the needs of professional staff members and volunteers primarily responsible for the care and handling of an institution’s historical records. DHPSNY’s webinars address emerging issues and best practices, with content scaled to apply to small- to medium-sized organizations with limited resources.
Webinars are recorded, archived, and made available for download from DHPSNY’s Resources page.
