Copyright 101 Webinar Recording Now Available
Last week's webinar was our final session of the spring before we dive head-first into a busy workshop season next month. Thanks again to Anne Karle-Zenith of the Metropolitan New York Library Council and Jennifer Palmentiero of the Southeastern New York Library Resource Council for a very informative presentation! Copyright 101 for Archivists and Librarians provided an overview of copyright law for archival and special collection managers, including a discussion of copyright considerations related to deeds of gifts, donor agreements, re-use of collection materials, and permission and fee policies. If you missed the live session, you can view a recording at the link below. You can also download the slideshow presentation, which features a slide near the end with links to helpful additional resources.

We plan to announce more presentations later this spring. In the meantime, our first workshop series of the year, Red Flag! Identifying Preservation Needs While Processing Collections, begins next month with sessions at the North Shore Historical Museum in Glen Cove on April 16th and the Crandall Public Library in Glens Falls on April 18th. Visit our Education page for a complete schedule of upcoming programs.
