Announcing the DHPSNY Summer 2022 Planning & Assessment Deadline!
Applications are open for our Planning & Assessment Services, and the next submission deadline is Friday, July 15, 2022. Conducted virtually, DHPSNY services are tailored to your organization’s unique circumstances. Each service aims to improve adherence to preservation best practices and can be utilized to obtain additional funding, increase the accessibility and use of your collections, and more.
We are accepting application materials for the following services to be considered for the summer 2022 application review period:
• Archival Needs Assessments: An excellent way to examine your archival program holistically through an external lens. DHPSNY Archival Needs Assessments cover Administration, Collections Management, and Collections Care.
• Preservation Surveys: A general evaluation of your institution's preservation needs, pinpointing areas of concern and recommendations for improvement in Preservation, Administration, Building Conditions, Environmental Conditions, Security and Emergency Preparedness, and Collections Care and Storage.
• Strategic Planning Assistance: This service helps organizations think proactively about their future and shape a three-year plan to serve as a road map for future decision-making under a trained facilitator.
Visit our website dhpsny.org to learn more about each of our services and determine which is right for your organization's needs. Our website features helpful tools for navigating the application process, including frequently asked questions, sample applications, and our webinar DHPSNY's Planning & Assessments: A Crash Course. As always, DHPSNY services are offered free of cost to qualifying New York institutions.
If you're unsure which service to apply for or whether your institution is ready, we encourage you to reach out to us! DHPSNY staff is available to answer your questions at info@dhpsny.org or 215-545-0613 ext. 338.
