Last week marked the year's third and final presentation of the DHPSNY workshop Understanding Archives: An Introduction to Archival Basics. We anticipated a much colder, potentially snowy journey to Niagara County in late November, but the weather cooperated, and we had a smooth trip and another great turnout. Like in Highland and Glens Falls earlier in the month, it was fun to connect with professionals and volunteers from archives, libraries, museums, and historical societies across the region. Also, special thanks to Daniel DiLandro, Archivist at SUNY Buffalo State who hosted and helped with so many of the logistics that day.

We're still finalizing dates and locations for our spring 2017 education programs, including our next workshop series, Essential Policies and Procedures for Cultural Institutions. Keep checking DHPSNY's workshops page for the latest updates.

There's also still time to sign up for our final webinar of the season, Introduction to Digitization, on Thursday, December 8, at 2 PM.
