DHPSNY is always interested in improving the programs and services that we offer to New York's cultural heritage community. In March, we concluded our second Planning & Assessment Services application round, and we're excited to announce our latest group of awardees. From a competitive pool of applications, our field reviewers selected 19 organizations to receive free Archival Needs Assessments, Preservation Surveys, and Strategic Planning assistance. Once again, we're very pleased with the diversity of this group, which includes collecting institutions both small and large, from local historical societies and libraries to nationally recognized science, media, and performing arts organizations

We're thrilled to announce the launch of our new Mentorship Program! If you plan to attend this year's New York Archives Conference next week in Utica, we encourage you to join us Thursday, June 8th, for a special Mentorship Luncheon where we'll share more information. Registration is open for our June workshop series, Disaster Response and Recovery: A Hands-on Intensive. We look forward to presenting this in-depth, interactive workshop in five locations throughout the State, beginning June 5th at the Marion H. Skidmore Library in Lily Dale! Always free of charge, DHPSNY’s education programs promote interactive learning, networking, and collaboration while addressing the needs of professionals and volunteers responsible for the care and handling of historical records.
